Vinyl On Demand is back once again with a third round of vinyl reissues for the pioneering ambient project Zoviet France. This campaign focuses on the English group’s work between 1996-2013, and it is culled from compilations, albums, singles, and other ephemera from a crucial period in their development. Among those reissues is 2013’s The Tables Are Turning, a studio reproduction of a live soundtrack to a contemporary dance production helmed by the British dance company Ballet Lorent in 2008. Ballet Lorent’s ‘Designer Body’ had the dancers moving on rotating turntables, which Zoviet France reflected in the soundtrack via their use of cyclical sound design. VOD’s new 2xLP version adds additional unreleased material from the sessions as well.
