Amandra debuts on AD 93 with an ode to the corals. Following standout drops for leading labels like Nous’klaer, Semantica and Tikita, the Frenchman signs three of his more atmospheric tracks to the London label, which always seems to coax the most interesting material out of its artists. As always with Amandra’s tracks, the magic is the grooves, which unravel themselves slowly, constantly morphing and weaving between the other elements. On 035, he pairs the drum grooves with some delightful pads to lift the tracks into an ethereal space.
