Billed as a sister record to not one but two of his 2020 releases — flash across the intervals and multiply the sides — Powell’s 'on the feet of a wind' delivers yet another disc of smirking electronic avant-gardism. Cadences of Iannis Xenakis and Florian Hecker glimmer on the near-incidental stepping stone sonics of ‘servenofunction, 19’ and the alarming digitised anti-drone warbles of ‘a line of flight, 1-3’, but Powell’s singular talent lies in his ability to expose what out-there electronic experimentation was always supposed to be: terrific fun.
