Gábor Lázár follows in the footsteps of Rian Treanor by graduating from The Death Of Rave to Planet Mu for new album Source. Like Rian Treanor’s Ataxia LP which emerged via Planet Mu back in 2019, Source twists up a range of club and computer music styles into unusual rhythm tracks. One can detect a strong influence of early Eskibeat in the choice of drum and bass sounds here, but the manner in which Lázár approaches his craft is more indebted to the whirlwind experimentalism of Braindance. What we end up with is another unique set of electronic grooves from this rather singular artist.
