While the Testpressing and Wonderland sessions showed that Miles and Sean Demdike have a combined love for the 'ardcore sounds of grime, garage, jungle, noise and techno. Passion is where they truly reach the height of their production powers. From the ripping wall of feedback that opens 'At It Again' to the modified hi-tek grime of 'Spitting Brass', it's clear that Passion really is the name of the game here. While most of their peers have been fusing the harder ends of noise into 4x4 techno, Demdike appears to have been locked in the lab reframing the rubbery sounds of grime and garage (plus a lot of killer breaks) into feedback shapes that would scare even the hardest noise nut. Make no mistake, this is no pastiche rehash or cash in on current trends, Demdike shows that not only do they know exactly what it takes to roll beats the proper way and that they are also in complete control of the sounds of the past, but they are using them as catapults to fire shots far into the future.
