Demdike Stare’s Testpressing series has thus far given Miles Whittaker and Sean Canty the freedom to explore and play around with their own takes on house, jungle and grime. On the sixth instalment, we’re treated to one of the pair’s most dancefloor orientated tracks so far: the industrial groove of ’40 Years Under The Cosh’ with its razor synths and chopped and screwed vocal. ‘Frontin’’ on the B side is, by contrast, a slower noise-heavy number, broken up by stabs of feedback - more Powell than Pharrell.
