Nine dread filled, doom laden sound abstractions from R&S and Black Acre affiliate Primitive World. Fans of Bristol’s favourite Ossia crew pay attention! Opening with ‘Fractions of the Absolute’, a super sparse and moody production with recurring whirrs, chopped vocal samples and not much else, the tone for the rest of the album is set splendidly. Across the rest of White on White we have synth-centric cinematic pieces (‘Space, Movement and Light’) and musique concrete inspired, bass filled ambience (‘Double Line’). Really interesting LP here and definitely worth a look for anyone that’s partial to a bit of low end.
