Primitive World aka Sam Willis of WALLS/Ecstatic drops a two track 12" of deep house and spacious electronics for his co-run Obsession imprint. It’s his second solo EP on the label, following the stellar Worship / Premonition of 2014 and a split with Hamburg producer Yør. On ‘Fast Falling Hands’, Willis opts for an infectious sequence of bouncy bass notes, leaving room for showcasing the shuffling percussion such as the neatly placed tambourine accent. The bass also finds itself at the centre of ‘Rush’, but this time in the guise of legato arpeggios, the sustained single organ note and chopped up sounds of human breath forging an eerie atmosphere.
