While most people in 2017 know Hudson Mohawke as the maker of slick, powerful and futuristic trap bangers both on his own and in TNGHT, long-standing fans will be aware of his penchant for MPC skullduggery in the vein of early FlyLo. Back in 2007 he produced an EP of wonky post-Dilla beats alongside LuckyMe luminary Mike Slott, and Dublin’s All City have seen fit to repress the record on its 10th anniversary. While you could probably rap atop most of these six beats, the fidgety detail of each means they deserve to be heard with fresh ears and on their own terms. A nice insight into the early stages of two careers that went on to big things.
