Following up his Berghain club residency, Dominik Fernow debuts on the clubs sister label Ostgut Ton with a three track industrial edged 12”. Opening with the beatless ferocity of ‘They Deserve Death’, the mood of the EP is set from the get go, and Rubbish of the Floodwaters soon morphs into full on club-ready techno in the blink of an eye. It’s the eleven minute ‘Weapons Inspection’ which is perhaps the highlight here, quite straight sounding for a Vatican Shadow track to our ears. It’s dark as hell though, and sounds perfectly suited to those long form techno sets the Berghain caters for so well.
