Ordinarily, Islington Mill, Salford, is the place where the Gnod magic happens. For five years now, this band of psychedelic travelers have forged a community in the North West making some of the most thrillingly out-there Kraut/Electronics/Motorick/Acid-Rock/Dub-techno imaginable. For Gnod’s latest assault on the senses, they wrote most of Mirror on the road, stripping down things to basics; a primal call to arms, a rage-fuelled mass of guitars, drums FX. An angry scream against the way-things-are circa 2015/16. What follows is a sprawling, hazy, wig-out, writ large across four extended pieces, ready to fry minds and bodies.
