Dominick Fernow's Hospital Productions presents the second album of sonic exploration from Alessandro Cortini, best known for his work with Nine Inch Nails and as producer for UK synth act Ladytron, on the label. Composed of eleven tracks, Risveglio is essentially the follow up and is the result of adding the Roland TB303 and TR606 to the pared-down recording setup used for Sonno – Cortini's last outing on the label. Whilst many themes from Sonno are still present on Risveglio, more liveliness is present which stems from Cortini's desire to further explore his hardware capabilities.
