Following on from his 2014 release Flourish on All City Records, the Derry, Northern Ireland, based producer Andrew Morrison returns with this warped and fuzzy, ambient house release, Hot House EP. Describing his music as “tape throb”, the tracks on this release hang somewhere between the music of artists such as Basic House and Boards Of Canada. The release kicks off with ‘Heart Of Stone’ – a super-dancey, stripped-back house track with overlaid distortion and dogmatic vocal samples, whilst ‘Upwards Spirals’ has a haunted, warped soundscape running through it, stamping onto the release a heavy-hearted bleakness.
