Norwegian imprint Smalltown Supersound break Neneh Cherry’s solo album deadlock with Blank Project, the first solo full-length release from the Swedish artist since the 1996 LP Man. The release sees the artist collaborate with a variety of diverse and respected artists, with London duo Rocketnumbernine’s deft production talents shining bright on the rapturous title track ‘Blank Project’, a pulsating track driven by tribal drums and geysers bursts of bass. Additionally, Kieran Hebden AKA Four Tet lends his veteran production talents to the piece as well as Swedish vocalist Robyn who collaborates on ‘Out Of The Blank’.
