Deepchord continues a prolific run of releases with Soma Recordings with two entrancing tracks taking their titles from the meditative values of ‘Prana’ and ‘Tantra’. The endlessly circling and shimmering washes of synthesiser which dominate the A-side recall Tangerine Dream in high fidelity, but reigned onto a rolling techno chug rather than the motorik beats of Krautrock. ‘Tantra’ conjures a similar sense of time being infinitely suspended on a dancefloor with squelchier synth stabs which nonetheless are obscured by a warm layer of foggy hiss.
