Originally released in 1965, ‘The Transfiguration of Blind Joe Death’ is the fourth album from guitarist and composer John Fahey and the first to be released on another label aside from his own Takoma Records. With this album we are reacquainted with Fahey’s fictional bluesman, Blind Joe, first introduced to us on Fahey’s debut album, ‘Blind Joe Death’, along with a full length piece of work that represents Fahey at this top of his ladder, as complex, unpredictable and vivid. Comes with the original 1965 liner notes, a piece of work all of their won, poetically attributed to one Charles Holloway.
