Alongside Earth’s 30th anniversary edition of their landmark debut album, the band celebrate with a selection of remixes reinterpreting the all-engulfing blue of Earth 2. The Bug AKA Kevin Richard Martin flips the roaring guitars of ‘Seven Angels’ into scuzzy basslines for Flowdan to deliver scathing bars over, while growling bass plucks on ‘Like Gold And Faceted’ are dubbed out to oblivion and drenched in harmonic texture. Robert Hampson piles flurries and thrashes of electrical signals in a turbulent 30-minute monolith, and hints of melodic guitar work bubble up from the mass of extended tones on Brett Netson’s ‘Teeth Of Lions Rule The Divine’ version.
