Two years on from the last RTR album Symmetriades, Analogical Force drop another batch of excited braindance tracks from the enigmatic artist. Leaning even further into a breakbeat heavy sound, 61 Cygni explores the outer reaches of what breakcore has to offer, from harsh walls of scrambling drums to serene and poppy microbeat inflections. ‘Acidnbknight’ opens with a furiously morphing bassline, its ominous string swells accompanied by fervent breaks. Trepidation colours ‘DSDE’ with its brassy groans becoming electrocuted as the spaceship mainframe works overdrive in a signal bending furore.
