The vital OOIOO drop their first LP for six years. Still led by Boredoms/Saicobab lynchpin YoshimiO, on nijimusi we find OOIOO lining up largely in the traditional rock-band formation of double-guitar, bass and drums - a somewhat radical move for a band previously known for eschewing such classicist structures. Across the record their freak-psych mode also touches on free music, jazz and Afrobeat, a move that lines nijimusi up next to the likes of Melt Yourself Down and Goat.
