Back in 2018 Kelpe (Kel McKeown) decided that he needed a new project in which to explore more tranquil, pared back sounds. This resulted in his Polymar collection, a set of ambient techno compositions that led on from one another to create a holistic listening experience. Now Kelpe has tidied up the Polymar compositions to be released as one set entitled A Polymar Compendium. This collection maintains the integrity of the original Polymar pieces while also adding three new cuts into the running order. Kelpe’s pretty productions that make up A Polymar Compendium are reminiscent of producers like Apparat and Bonobo.
