Pink Rhythm’s India EP gets the reissue treatment courtesy of Be With Records (Tommy Guerrero, The Whispers). The group - a mutation of early 1980’s funkers Freeez - only released a handful of tracks in 1985 before disappearing from view. However, one spin of India makes one wonder why Pink Rhythm didn’t make more music. The group really knew their way around a hook - ‘More And More’, for example, is the sort of dreamy synth-funk that George Michael or The Pet Shop Boys would have been mightily pleased with back in the day. India also has a light dream-pop/Balearic flavour that makes one think of Dip In The Pool.
