Death In Vegas sees two tracks from his 2016 LP Transmission divided three ways by Silent Servant and Dopplereffekt/Drexciya mainstay Rudolf Klorzeiger. Silent Servant turns in two versions of Transmission single ‘You Disco I Freak’. The first remix is uncharacteristically restrained - while it contains whiffs of industrialism in its needling lead line and occasional crash-bang atmospherics, its muted beat and synth motif make for pleasingly tense listening. Order is restored on the distorted, booming second version. On the B-side, Klorzeiger’s flip of ‘Metal Box’ is a brooding thing, moving from sludgy found sounds to some Blade Runner-inspired dystopian synth work.
