American-in-London producer Ren Schofield aka Container is one of those special techno producers who comes at the genre in a roundabout way. Billed as a heavy slice of noise-addled EBM created with a ‘rock band’ sensibility in mind, ear canal destroying cuts like ‘Sniffers’ and the title track are driven by battered, riff-like screeches, while the entirety of the disc is propelled by Schofield’s cheeky rhythmic pulse, careening from D&B breaks to body-clenching bad acid trip bass within mere moments.
