New four track EP on Sacred Bones from Exploded View! Seemingly taking influence from the likes of Broadcast, Pink Industry and Marine Girls this is a super strong collection of tracks for any post-punk fans. It sounds modern and manages to avoid total retro pastiches and is all the better for it. Bonus points for the mellotron appearance on ‘Forever Free’, a nice reference to all those wacky 70s prog synth records (at least for us). ‘Summer Came Early’ might be the anthem but as we said, each track is pretty solid.
