Bodyjack and Special Request on the same vinyl. Very nice indeed, and a pairing that makes sense. Both are artists steeped in the clubbing history of the UK, and both take great joy in making larger-than-life re-rubs of classic rave stylings. Bodyjack’s original here is a shuffling jam that will appeal to house and garage heads alike. The track’s combination of jacked vocals, stabs of keys and a mighty low-end is the sort of thing that will never go out of fashion. Paul Woolford - how does he ever find the time to sleep? - turns in his umpteenth banger of the year under the Special Request moniker. Slightly lighter on the junglism than usual, but no less exciting.
