Techno producer Chris Finke returns with a new EP under his Bodyjack moniker on Unknown To The Unknown. After almost a decade as a resident in Birmingham’s Atomic Jam club, there’s no need to validate his credibility as a remixer, and his debut EP on Hypercolour bares witness to his own production talents. On Brock Out, Finke shows his sense for banging house productions once again: the title track bounces on a wobbly bass line and a percussive-heavy 4-to-the-floor beat, with its distorted, motivating vocal sample marking a tactful caesura. DJ Haus On Tha’s remix of ‘That’s What She Said’ pitches up the original’s vocals and adds some funky Todd Terje sound effects to the mix.
