Pugilist is making his way through some of the leading labels in bass music and techno, with Martyn’s 3024, Whities/AD93, Nous’Klaer and ZamZam Sounds already under his belt. The Melbourne based artist now returns to DEXT with a mixed-bag of floor-focused goodness. ‘Siphon’ is all filter-swept breakbeats and low-hanging pads. ‘Regrowth’ is a stepping, 909 jam and ‘Nightshade’ a razor-sharp amen rinse-out. Lobster Theremin affiliate Coco Bryce steps up on remix duties, adding the finishing touches to a fine EP.
