Anthony Naples does what he does best on his latest EP - distills the spirit of NYC house into four tracks that don’t set out to reinvent the wheel, just to make the club go crazy at 3am. ‘Sky Flowers’ kicks things off with a low-and-slow four-to-the-floor, the sort of groove that would sound good in any century, before a wash of blissful synths and a buzzing electro bassline take centre stage. ‘Seello’ and ‘Us Mix’ are as deep as they come, unfurling beautifully across seven or eight minutes, and ‘At Ease’ is equal-parts tough Detroit bassline and sensual, rolling drum track. Guaranteed winners on both sides.
