Reissue of 1979 BBC Radiophonic Workshop compilation featuring early synth experiments and short pieces originally recorded for radio use. Heavy Delia Derbyshire contributions on this one (including the Dr. Who theme song!), though the majority of other names may be unfamiliar to most. ‘Greenwich Chorus’ by long standing BBC contributor Peter Howell is a notable highlight, as well as being one of the longest pieces on the LP. Perhaps more of a historical curiosity than a fully immersive listen, this Silva Screen reissue at the very least keeps the dream of early commercial electronic wizardy alive and brings these innovative yet decades out of print compositions back onto the public market.
