Praed is a part-Swiss, part-Lebanese collaboration, boldly drawing new connections between the Arabic genre of Shaabi (think Islam Chipsy) and electronic / free jazz / psych-rock music(s). Fourth record The Fabrication of Silver Dreams is released on Lebanese imprint, Annihaya. Their last album Made In Japan was a scintillating exploration in early electronics and wild rhythm; like Delia Derbyshire going head-to-head with Omar Souleyman. The Fabrication of Silver Dreams follows similar mind frying, time-signature melting patterns; this is unlike anything you will have heard, and in this day and age, that is surely invigorating.
