L.A. electronic producer Astronautica, often associated with the Low End Theory crew, drops her second album for Alpha Pup records. Gemini joins the dots between twinkling R&B, luscious rap beatmaking, and rattling club rhythms, with a spacey and wide-eyed soundscape running throughout. The sound palette of Gemini is more ambitious than Astronautica’s previous albums and EPs, with stray voice-as-instrument vocal lines and warm guitar harmonies packing the album with a new emotional depth.
