Shortly after the release of his solo album The Emissary on Kompakt sub label Pop Ambient, Cologne’s Jens Uwe Beyer resurfaces on his own Magazine imprint. Setting the scene is the thick synth melody of 'White Silk Crinkled Chiffon’ which defines the EP’s tone with its cinematic soundtrack style, before Battles drummer and former Cologne Tapes collaborator John Stanier comes in on 'White Oversized Flame Yarn Bolero’, driving the floating and repetitive patterns with his understated beat. With its cautious bass melody, the ambient drone of 'Aroma Print Voile Blouse’ reads as contemplative interlude to yet another collaborative effort – Magazine co-owner Barnt features on 'Navy Stamp Degrade Print Print Oversized Viscose Huipil’ which confines its blurred, unidentifiable blend of organ and string synths with a defined kick and clear metallic percussion.
