Stephan Laubner aka STL comes through with this third EP for the Echocord shelves. This is the first instalment of a two-parter from Laubner made up of two original cuts and two loops. For this leg, proceedings are opened up by Inside Out, a spacious, dub-leaning number with ambient textures and a delicate beat. After that comes Heavy Snow where a slightly more club-ready sound is on show – a kind of dubbed-out house cut which would have even the most distracted ravers locked in. These numbers are backed up by two hypnotising loops – further proof that the Something label boss is a master of his craft.
