Travis Egedy steps back into the spotlight with his first full-length album in four years. It’s a welcome return. Under the Pictureplane moniker, Egedy has carved out a distinct reputation for himself in the Brooklyn artistic underground. His music operates on an axis of postmodern gothic electronic pop. Fitting right at home with the band of outsiders that populate the Anticon roster, Technomancer is a heady mixture of gloomy EBM textures and the kind of darkwave productions you might associate with the Awful Records output or Mykki Blanco’s work.
