Denver based bedroom musician, Travis Egedy is the nom-de-disco behind this bleeding edge, hipster outing Dark Rift. Spiked with high energy serotonin Pictureplane has made a rabid, mongrel record in thrall equally to slamming early 90s house music, trashed out electro-clash functions, D.I.Y no wave disco and an affinity for Crystal Castles 8 Bit mutations. Add to this a sackful of neon soaked melody hooks and you are left with an album that sounds as if it has been thrown in a blender filled with a hundred dance styles from the last twenty years. Good thing.
