patten’s Kaleidoscope label enter a new phase with the launch of a sublabel of dubbed cassettes named Chrome Series. The inaugural Chrome Series release comes from British artist Benedict Drew. On Dreamscape of the Burger King Commuter, Drew plays with synthesizer tones, static feedback, and field/ASMR recordings, but he brings a rare sense of humour to these experimental and often atonal sounds. Dreamspace of the Burger King Commuter interprets the experiences of riding commuter trains - where no matter how awkwardly and uncomfortably squashed together you are with other silent passengers, you’re still able to switch off your brain and enter a semi-dream state. Available in an edition of 100 C40 tapes and digital formats.
