Lowtec drops three glacial electronica rooted house tracks for Avenue 66. These cuts from the Workshop head mark a return for Avenue 66 as they haven’t had any output for the best part of two years. This return is a stylish and delicate affair with glassy beats, plaintive synth melodies and an aqueous feeling throughout. Even on Reconstruction where a kick-led beat takes centre stage, the activity around it is measured and subtle without moving too far away from upbeat house blueprints. A welcome return from a curatorial powerhouse.
