Just as the PC Music camp celebrate their work thus far with a compilation of their perplexing output, XL Recordings pick up SOPHIE and AG Cook’s collaborative effort with a digital release of Hey QT. Based around the concept of an energy drink which makes the consumer “feel fizzy”, the single is a 3 minute joyride in to QT’s hyperactive corporate cosmos. With pitched-up vocals, candy floss synths and an unshifting melody- this is the embodiment of the PC Music vision. A polyurethane anthem for millennial lost souls caught up in their own web presence. For the full release, hit maker extraordinaire Diplo has taken on remix duties for a fuzzy club mix of the track which only adds to the infectiousness.
