Unforgiving industrial tech from Sam Kerridge, recording once again for Regis’ Downwards imprint. ‘Waiting For Love 1’ gets it rolling with sparse drum palpitations, creeping drones and sinister low-end. On Part 2, surging sub bass threatens to break apart the minimal tech beat before steely hi-hats arrive as reinforcement. ‘Waiting For Love 3’ pumps and breaths like an electric lung, the tension escalating with every exhale. Finally, on Part 4, Kerridge interweaves wailing samples and a rugged house groove, adding some much needed light towards the end in the form of striking synth strings.
