Minimal Wave reissues another gem, The Dadacomputer from UK duo Five Times Of Dust. The music here, made by members Rob Lawrence and Mark Phillips in the early 80’s by sending tapes back and forth through the mail, perfectly epitomises what the Minimal Wave label and aesthetic are all about. From musique concrète opener ‘Missile Logic T’ to the digitized bounce of ‘Multinational’, this one is bursting with brilliantly quirky, oddly accessible moments. Standouts include proto-techno banger ‘Computer Bank’ and alien new-wave number ‘Production Line’.
