Dublin-born Colin Cloughley AKA Anodyne returns with the futurist Fractured EP consisting of harsh electro and clouded breakbeat on Yellow Machines. Comprised from shards of jungle, hardcore and IDM ‘The Art Of Fire’ traverses a desolate landscape of rave-inspired samples and catchy synth work. ‘The Edge Of The Universe’ is more cinematic in scope, joining an energetic breakbeat to doomy keys whereas ‘Unified Field Theory’ takes us into extra-terrestrial electro territories. Closing is ‘Thanatos Rising’, a particularly derelict, yet working track that brings in heavy cosmic interference.
