Editions Mego continue their series of reissues of records and archival recordings from Groupe De Recherches Musicales (GRM), a French centre electro-acoustic research centre founded in 1958 by Pierre Schaffer. Musique concrete innovator acousmatic pioneer Francois Bayle's 'L'Experience Acoustique' is released across three records this time. Over its over two hour length, the album explores strange, previously unfounded textures that still sound bold and bracing now. An album of relentless experimentalism and an essential document chronicling some of the finest early innovations in electronic sound.
