Musique Concrete artist Francois Bayle - who studied under both Messiaen and Stockhausen - led the highly influential Groupe de Recherches Musicales and has produced some of the most important and inventive early electronic work. 'Les Couleurs De La Nuit', a piece for tapes and computers, was commissioned in 1982 and remains just as bold and curiously mind-bending as it must have been upon its initial release.
