Hamburg’s Bureau B returns with another classic krautrock reissue, this time reviving the legendary 1984 soundtrack Die Letzte Rache from Neue Deutsche Welle frontrunners Der Plan. The LP, which takes its name from the cult classic movie of the same name by Rainer Kirberg, showcases Der Plan’s free-spirited, unhinged and often comical use of electronics that add to the charismatic experience of the piece. The playful ‘Schonheit Der Macht’ chugs along through an oom-pah rhythm, which when combined with the characterised German lyrics creates a deeply authentic feel.
