After blowing up in the post punk scene with their 4AD albums New Long Leg and Stumpwork, Dry Cleaning return to their earliest material with this remastered edition of their debut EPs recorded in 2018. Some of their gutsiest work is rendered in these homemade jams and experiments, with Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks highlighting ferocious shreds: ‘Dog Proposal’ is gauzy and bright with emphatic drums, and breathy sung vocals bracketing scathing observations of our hypermotivational capitalist era. Sweet Princess turns down a more upbeat, frenzied route, with the driving rhythms on ‘Magic of Meghan' playing an angsty ode to the one that got away.
