Dominic Maker and Kai Campos are getting the band back together with their latest single ‘Dumb Guitar’. Following their split double album MK 3.5, a highlight of their individual creative pursuits, Mount Kimbie have officially reunited as one, returning to the styles of Love What Survives with new eyes. Two opposing vocals tell the same story of avoiding a relationship’s impending demise over post-punk propulsions. Muted chords rise into twisting molten bass as Andrea Balency-Béarn sings “It’s run away or turn it ‘round”, depicting a high stakes situation through imperative rhythms and guitar shreds that drift out to sea, while 'Boxing' on the flip features the inimitable contributions of long time Kimbie collaborator, none other than King Krule.
