As a backbone of Live At Robert Johnson Records, it’s fitting that Berlin’s Massimiliano Pagliara is releasing his ‘Magic Serials’ on the imprint. With names that don’t exactly roll off the tongue, gleaned from equipment serial numbers (‘LM2-JP4-106-606-BL-303-SDE2000-P6’) Pagliara takes on a selection of genres from the new spectrum - neo-dance, post-disco and proto-house. Three acid-infused, woozy club stompers backed by the devastating thump of a kick drum.
