A late but timely reissue of a retrospective of the Cocteau Twins' journey from their nascent days of alternative experimentation, to the defining years of their pioneering careers and their eventual disbanding in 1996. Music's obsession with shoegaze would not have gone far without the visionary guidance of the band made up of Elizabeth Fraser, Robin Guthrie and Simon Raymonde. Their bewitching direction at the time transcended the boundaries of convention and preconception and today their importance still shows no signs of abating.
