Legendary Oxford shoegaze progenitors Ride continue their recent reissue campaign with Wichita Recordings, wrapping things up with the final two LPs of their initial run. The first of these new editions to get the remaster treatment is 1994’s Carnival of Light. Taking some inspiration from the “lost” Beatles song of the same name, Carnival of Light sees the band peeling away some of the noise in favour of a more folk-rock-y approach, as evidenced by lighter fare like the opening ‘Moonlight Medicine’ and the strummy pop nugget ‘From Time To Time’.
