Sparkle Division, the experimental dance trio of ambient figurehead William Basinski, Preston Wendel (aka noise provocateur Shania Taint), and producer Gary Wright, return to Temporary Residence for a second LP entitled FOXY. Somewhat of a concept album about late 60’s Hollywood, FOXY details a wild house party from the perspective of two film industry interns, and takes its title from the name of the drug dealer/pimp that owns the home. From the LSD-spiked opener ‘Have Some Punch’ to the foggy recollective closer ‘We Were There’, Sparkle Division put you right in the centre of the action.
